Hardhat and vest policy

Document assigned to you

Front Range Roofing Co. provides and requires the protective equipment each job calls for. Wear it from the moment you step out of the truck on a job site until the site is cleaned up.

  • Hard hat on every tear-off, on any site with work overhead, and whenever a dump trailer or Equipter is being loaded.
  • High-visibility vest or shirt on every site and whenever you work near a street or driveway.
  • Fall protection on every roof: a full-body harness tied off to an anchor the foreman has set before work starts, on any roof over 6 feet to the eave. Inspect your harness and lanyard each morning and tell the foreman about any damage.
  • Safety glasses whenever you run a nail gun, saw or grinder; gloves for tear-off and metal; boots with a slip-resistant sole.

Equipment that is worn out or damaged is replaced at no cost to you; ask the production manager. Working without the required protection is a safety violation under the discipline policy.
